What types of materials do we use?

·         Our woven labels and wristbands are made of 100% damask woven polyester. All of our woven labels aside from labels using sparkling text are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified up to Product Class I which means they are safe for infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age.

Will the labels fray or wear out?

·         Our woven and printed labels are made of highly resistant polyester threads which are durable, colourfast and experience minimal shrinkage. They are designed to outlast the garment they are attached to!

·         All of our labels are tightly weaved and hot cut to exact dimensions - this technique seals the labels and prevents fraying.

What are my payment options?

·         You can also pay using bank transfer (IBAN) or by PayPal. Since our products are custom and made from scratch, our company policy is to have payment in full prior to production, therefore payment upon delivery is not an option.

 I want a custom patches, is your price the lowest of all?

·         Our prices are always the lowest in the market for patches. We can assure you that there will be no company in the market that will be able to provide a lower price and faster turnaround than our company.

What does production time mean?

·         Production time refers to the period it takes to make your patches order in our production facility. The time is based on business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

What happens if there is a mistake with my order?

·         If there is a production error we will redo the patch without and questions asked.

Will I see a proof before my order goes into production?

·         Yes! Unless it is an exact reorder, you always see an e-proof of your item which must be approved by you before we proceed!

Do you keep my art on file?

·         Yes! We keep your artwork on file to make reordering and using your art on other products simple and easy!

Where do I send my artwork?

·         Simply upload it on our website and attach it to your order and we will take it from there. You can also send it to info@labelpatches.com or e-mail directly to your Customer Care Representative.

What image file types can I upload?

·         We highly recommend you send a vector-based file in EPS, AI or PDF format. If you have a raster-based image such as PSD, PNG or JPG, please send it in the actual size it will be imprinted on your patches. We suggest you send the highest resolution file you have available. The highest resolution files work best.

Is it OK to use copyrighted or licensed material for my patch?

·         We do not knowingly reproduce copyrighted material and will not accept liability for such infringement when reproducing orders. You are solely responsible for ensuring the artwork you submit does not infringe on property rights by obtaining proper permission for the reproduction of logos, trademarks and copyrighted material.

Can I use multiple artwork designs for my patches order?

·         Yes absolutely! Feel free to upload as many as you’d like or you can also email us your designs.

What are the PATCHES that we are offering?

·         Embroidered Patches (a.k.a. cloth badge) are created by interlacing threads together, resulting in a heavier embroidery thread. This overall makes the patch feel thicker while giving off a certain lift and a 3D look.

·         Woven patches are generally done by stitching a design with threads into a piece of fabric. These patches are perfect for you if your design is very precise and has small details or fine lettering. A woven patch can be produced in a much smaller size without losing its integrity — even down to an inch!

·         Printed patches generally require industrial printing techniques to produce colorful, detailed designs ideal for high-detailed designs and texts. These patches are printed onto large sheets of twill that are later cut with a laser to achieve your desired shape and size.

·         Chenille is a fabric made with silk thread used in combination with wool or cotton. Chenille patches make use of a vaulted yarn weave to create 3D designs perfect for collegiate design patches intended for jackets, bags, backpacks, clothing, uniforms, jeans, and many more!

·         PVC patches are modern alternatives to the more common embroidered patches. PVC patches are made of durable, soft plastic that is available in a wide variety of colors that can easily bring your design to life.

·         Leather patches are made from polyurethane faux leather — eco-friendly, durable, and soft. These are manufactured by embossing or stitching basic designs onto leather backings. Best for designs with limited colors, our leather patches are also ideal for clothing labels, sewing patchwork, bag, wallet, purse, and many more!

·         Bullion patches use a combination of metallic beads, silk, velvet, and felt materials to create detailed and high-quality patches. These patches are significantly different from other types of patches, precisely because bullion patches are individually handmade by skilled artisans.

What are the different patch backing styles?

·         Plain Backing - Plain backing patches can only be sewn onto fabrics. It will show the twill on the backside of the patch and is generally more flexible.

·         Pellon Backing - Pellon fabric is added to the back of the patch to cover the threads and embroidery.

·         Iron on Backing - Iron on backings are a special type of backing that when heated, will form a bond between the patch and the fabric. Note: They need the proper amount of time, pressure, and temperature to seal correctly.

·         Tape Backing - Tape backing is the most ideal choice for short-term events. It’s easy to use on any garment and is easily removable, but isn’t as durable as compared to other types of backings.

·         Single Velcro - Single velcro is more flexible than any other backing style. The backing is composed of a tiny hook that allows you to attach the patch to a soft backing for a secure grip.

·         Double Velcro - Double velcro is a convenient way of quickly fastening your patch to another surface as these are often bought in pairs — hard hook and loop — to make a two-sided patch. If not needed, you can easily have it removed.

·         Safety Pin Backing - Safety pin backing can transform a patch into something that can be pinned into the fabric.

·         Key Chain - Anyone can almost easily carry a key chain which makes this a great token to hand out during trade shows, fundraising campaigns, and other events.

What is the difference between 50%, 75%, and 100% embroidery levels?

·         The size and design of your patch determine the patch’s embroidery percentage.

·         50% embroidered patch is good for simple, text-only designs wherein at least half of the twill backing is visible.

·         75% embroidered patch allows larger, more intricate artwork, and covers more of the twill.

·         100% embroidered patch is ideal for intricate designs and logos wherein the twill is entirely invisible. This also offers the most detail possible on a patch.

What is the difference between merrowed, die-cut, and hot-cut borders?

·         The Merrowed border can only apply to regular shapes (circles, ovals, and squares), and is sewed up and over the exterior edges of your patch.

·         Die Cut border is cut to the shape of any complex, custom design.

·         Hot Cut border allows sharp, detailed edges that are perfect for intricate designs.

TIPS & TRICKS

·         Make sure to include a seam allowance for sewing in your labels. This ensures that the design of your logo or artork will not be hidden in the seam once sewn in.

·         For best results and a greal looking label design, choose high contrast colours. A black background with dark brown text would not produce a nice result.

·         What can I do if I need to change my email address?
